FaithAlive Interview: Runner, Blogger, Survivor

This week I sat down with Matt of Faith Alive to share my story. It’s deep y’all. I share my struggles with body image issues and recovery from an eating disorder.

I think the main takeaway is that there is hope. There’s always hope, and while you may be in the middle of something painful and the future looks bleak, you will get through it. You’ll grow through it.

That’s what I’ve learned. And sometimes the first step is taking that plunge to better yourself. To get out of a bad situation. Matt shares his story of recovery from alcoholism on his podcast, as well. And boy, it’s powerful.

Life is beautiful in that our struggles make us stronger and leaning on one another helps us through the tough times. It’s taking that first plunge that’s the hardest part to bettering your life.

Don’t be scared of the plunge.

  1. I’m glad that you were able to find recovery. I’ve had my ED for about half of my life now and I’ve almost died twice and I’ve been hospitalized three times for an ED and I’m so much worse now because of it. My ED is crippling and I’ve developed more mental illnesses. Hang in there xx
